I removed one of my book recommendations as I heard the book had some theological difficulties--and the entire book was so hard to understand (very few people speak King James English anymore)that I could hardly get into it. If anybody ordered or read the book in question, please filter what you read through the lense of Scripture--please forgive me for not reading much of the book before recommending it--I will try and do a better job on this in the future.

I saw this on another blog, where you post five things on a Friday...they can be any five things that make life easier, more convenient, whatever...yes...I know today is Wednesday...but I can post five things on a Wednesday just as well as on any other day. So, here goes...

Can I just say Karen Kingsbury is the most amazing author ever!!!!!2. Kindle App for I-Pod Touch
If you already own an I-Pod Touch or an I-Pad, you are wasting your money if you buy a Kindle or a Nook (unless you really need that large print). The Kindle App is free! I can download a book from Amazon anytime I need something new to read. The classics are free, as well as some other books. I still prefer actual books to electronic downloads--and will probably not make a habit of downloading books as opposed to buying them. However, my I-Pod fits nicely in my purse (whereas a book does not), and it is nice to always have some reading material handy. Thanks to modern technology, I now have two Bibles, a Dictionary, and the complete works of Jane Austen (that was actually a separate app, not a Kindle download) with me at all times. And in the event that I run out of memory on my I-Pod, the Kindle App has a lovely archive feature that lets me store it online to be downloaded for free to the I-Pod later for future use.
3. Suave Rosemary Mint Shampoo
Okay I must be getting tired to discuss my shampoo on my blog...but if you are looking for shampoo that smells lovely and will not require taking out a second mortgage on your home in order to buy it, then this just might be the shampoo for you!4. Colgate MaxFresh Toothpaste
And because you really wanted to know...here is the toothpaste that I use. Honestly, my favorite thing about this toothpaste is the container (looks quite similar to the one in the picture). If you will notice--no little cap to fall off and land in the drain...never to be seen again...increasing the chance that I will actually get to use the entire tube before it becomes dried out and crusty from exposure to air. The other awesome thing about this container is that it ends any debates on the part of families who cannot agree on which way to squeeze the toothpaste (I don't care--and neither does anyone else at my house, to my knowledge--but this is a big deal to some people). For those who like to squeeze the tube from the middle, that is the only way to squeeze it. It will not lose its shape, nor will a hole magically appear in the middle of this tube from too much squeezing. For those of you who prefer to roll the end so that you get every last bit out of the tube--and to prevent an unsightly hole from appearing in the middle of the tube--you will not be able to roll this tube, but you can set the tube upside down to insure that the toothpaste will drain towards the opening.So there you have it--five of life's little pleasures. Try some of them and let me know what you think.
Now that I have successfully offered a solution to the toothpaste tube debate, possibly even saving many marriages in the process, I will sign off...for now...maybe I should tackle the proper way to hang toilet tissue in my next post...or not :D
